The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has paid a working visit to the Nkyinkyim Museum as part of efforts to deepen collaborations with private cultural institutions and promote Ghana’s tourism sector.

Accompanied by key stakeholders, the Minister held discussions with the Chief Executive Officer of the Museum, focusing on potential areas for strategic cooperation between the Ministry, its affiliated agencies, and the Museum. The goal is to enhance tourism experiences and drive both domestic and international visitor traffic.
Talks highlighted how the museum’s unique cultural assets could be integrated into Ghana’s broader tourism development strategy, aligning with national goals to promote cultural heritage, religious tourism, and the creative arts.

Acknowledging the vital role cultural tourism plays in economic and social development, both parties emphasized the need for joint efforts to showcase Ghana’s rich cultural identity to the world.
To advance the collaboration, a task team has been established, comprising:

- Mr. Essel Blankson, Ghana Museums and Monuments Board (GMMB)

- Kwame Akoto Bamfo, Founder and Director of the Nkyinkyim Museum
- Dr. Mary Yeboah, Co-Director of the Nkyinkyim Museum
This task team will be responsible for developing actionable strategies around site infrastructure, cultural programming, and targeted marketing to position the Nkyinkyim Museum as a flagship destination within Ghana’s tourism landscape.
