Ghana’s Kofi Boachie-Ansah II Earns Grammy Recognition for Role on The Fury Album

Ghanaian multi-disciplinary creative Kofi Boachie-Ansah II, widely known as BeatMenace, has received official recognition from the GRAMMY Awards for his contribution as a Contributor and Guest Artist on The Fury, an album by Antonio Vergara.

The album was nominated in the Best Contemporary Blues Album category at the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards, held on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Taking to social media, BeatMenace shared his appreciation for the honor, stating that the nomination represents the “collective passion, soul, and commitment” of everyone involved—musicians, producers, and engineers alike.

He expressed gratitude to Antonio Vergara for the trust and opportunity to be part of the project and extended congratulations to his fellow contributors. He also applauded all GRAMMY nominees and winners for their role in shaping culture.

Boachie-Ansah was previously selected as part of the Recording Academy’s 2024 Voting Member Class, a role he has described as a privilege that connects him to a global community of creators advocating for the power of music.

In Ghana, he has also served as a Board Member of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, further solidifying his commitment to the growth of the local music industry.

Outside his music contributions, Kofi Boachie-Ansah is the Creative Services Executive at BlendedArts Limited, and a strong advocate for sustainable frameworks in Ghana and Africa’s wider creative industries.

With nearly two decades of experience spanning music, fine art, design, film, tech, and law, his work is rooted in economic empowerment, policy advocacy, and ecosystem development for Africa’s creative and entertainment sectors.

He has also collaborated on various independent films, television series, and worked across genres in roles ranging from music production and songwriting to audio engineering, making him a well-rounded figure in the global creative space.
