Ghanaians can now travel to Morocco without applying for a traditional visa – Okudzeto Ablakwa announces.

Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced a significant travel update: Ghanaians can now visit Morocco without going through the traditional visa application process.

Following a two-day official visit to Morocco, Mr. Ablakwa disclosed that Ghana and Morocco have agreed on a visa-free travel arrangement. Under the new policy, Ghanaians will no longer need to visit the Moroccan embassy or attend interviews. Instead, travelers can obtain a simple online travel authorization, approved within 24 hours.

“This new process will greatly ease travel for Ghanaians visiting Morocco,” Mr. Ablakwa noted. “It’s a step forward in promoting tourism, trade, and stronger bonds between our two countries.”

The agreement was finalized during a meeting with Morocco’s Foreign Minister, H.E. Nasser Bourita, as part of broader efforts to enhance intra-African cooperation.

To complement this initiative, Mr. Ablakwa also announced plans to increase the number of direct flights between Ghana and Morocco.
