Telecel Ghana, as the headline sponsor of the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs), celebrated the country’s top musical talents in a night of glamour, powerful performances, and vibrant culture at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

The event marked yet another milestone in Telecel’s enduring commitment to Ghana’s music and creative industry. From electrifying performances to bold fashion statements, the night was filled with unforgettable moments that highlighted Ghana’s musical brilliance.
King Promise emerged as the night’s biggest winner, taking home the coveted Artiste of the Year award. He also won three additional accolades: Album of the Year (True To Self), Best Afrobeats Artiste, and Best Afropop Song for his hit track, Paris.
Rising star King Paluta also made waves, clinching Telecel Most Popular Song of the Year, Highlife Song of the Year, and Producer of the Year for his inspirational anthem, Aseda.
Another highlight of the night was the Music for Good Award, powered by Telecel and accompanied by a GHS 20,000 cash prize. This award recognizes artists using their music to make a social impact. It was presented to Epixode for his song Chooboi, which tackles the environmental destruction caused by illegal mining (galamsey). His work calls for environmental accountability and justice.
“Telecel believes in the power of music to connect, uplift and inspire positive change. We are proud to champion the creative talents who tell Ghana’s stories and elevate our culture globally,” said Ing. Patricia Obo-Nai, CEO of Telecel Ghana. She presented the Music for Good and Telecel Most Popular Song awards alongside Aneth Muga, Acting Director of Consumer Business.
In a virtual acceptance speech, Epixode dedicated the award to the cause of environmental activism and urged fellow musicians to use their platforms for transformation:
“Let’s use lyrics and melodies to stir consciousness – speak truth, inspire hope, and challenge the system.”
From start to finish, the 26th TGMAs delivered a high-energy spectacle featuring show-stopping performances by King Promise, Stonebwoy, King Paluta, Kidi, Empress Gifty, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, and genre-defying artist Moliy.
The red carpet dazzled with the theme Proudly Made in Ghana – Bold, Vibrant, and Unapologetic, spotlighting both musical artistry and fashion flair.
The night concluded at the exclusive Telecel Red Room, where Telecel executives, VIPs, celebrities, and high-value customers enjoyed drinks, gourmet cuisine, and music in a vibrant networking atmosphere.
