On Thursday, April 24, 2025, the Ghana Dance Association (GDA), in partnership with BIDEC INC and the Bridge Zone Global, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Maame Efua Houadjeto, in Accra.

The visit served as a formal introduction of the GDA and its mission to the GTA, while also expressing the Association’s commitment to supporting the national tourism agenda.
During the engagement, the GDA highlighted its upcoming USA Dance Tour, set to begin in May 2025, with key stops including the Ohio Black Expo 2025 in Columbus, Ohio, and the Black History Festival 2026 in College Park, Georgia.
The meeting was attended by notable figures including Nana Kwame Dadzie, President of the Ghana Dance Association and member of the Ghana Cultural Forum; Stephen Selasie Asuo, President of BIDEC INC and Founder of the Black History Festivals; Daniel Obeng Fianko, Head of Africa Operations at BIDEC INC and CEO of 360 Group; and Prince Anthony Bart Appiah, President of the Bridge Zone Global.

The GDA also used the opportunity to present the potential of dance tourism in enhancing Ghana’s position as the gateway to Africa, through initiatives that promote the Black Star Experience, diaspora engagement, cultural heritage, and folklore.
CEO Maame Efua Houadjeto welcomed the initiative and assured the delegation of GTA’s full support. She also discussed opportunities for strategic collaboration that would yield mutual benefits for all parties involved.
