She highlighted the need for excellence in the hospitality industry to strengthen the country’s tourism and create employment opportunities for local professionals, ultimately boosting Ghana’s tourism sector.

Speaking at the 10th-anniversary media launch of Kempinski Hotel on April 3, 2025, Dzifa Gomashie emphasized that such an institution would not only enhance skill development but also showcase Ghana’s rich hospitality heritage to the global community.

“I’m surprised that Kempinski has not yet proposed building a modern, multipurpose school to train industry professionals. The entire value chain needs a training school, and the ministry has land available—let’s discuss,” she remarked.

The President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, praised Kempinski Hotel for its significant contributions to Ghana’s tourism and trade sectors. He also expressed his appreciation for the long-standing partnership between the GJA and Kempinski, which has lasted for over eight years.

To mark its 10th anniversary, Kempinski Hotel has launched a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing its culinary and bar offerings to align with the latest industry trends. The hotel’s General Manager, Hanno Barkhoff, shared that the hotel is introducing a new gourmet and bar experience tailored to Ghana’s hospitality industry.
