After a thrilling 2024 edition, Africa’s premier DJ event, the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, is already setting the stage for its 2025 celebration.
Organized by Merqury Republic, the 365-day countdown to the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards Festival has officially begun. The event is scheduled for November 29, 2025, at the Palms Convention Center.
Supported by Guinness Ghana, a leader in the beverage industry, and powered by Smirnoff, the 2025 edition will carry the theme ‘Shake the Floor.’ This theme embodies the essence of the dance floor, where music transcends boundaries, unites people, and creates unforgettable memories. It also underscores the pivotal role DJs play as cultural curators, capable of uplifting communities with their sound and energy.
Merqury Quaye, Creative Director of the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, elaborated on the theme: “The 2025 theme celebrates the magic that happens when DJs and fans come together. It reflects the passion, energy, and love that transform simple moments into extraordinary experiences.”
Leading up to the grand event, Guinness Ghana DJ Awards will keep fans updated on social media, revealing details of its exciting itinerary, including a nationwide tour, Pub Fest, Ghana DJ Clinic, Ladies Concert, and the Nominees Jam.
Renowned as a benchmark for DJ success, the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards continues to celebrate the best in the industry. The 2024 edition featured electrifying performances from Edem, Guru, and Keche, while DJs Andy Dosty and Merqury Quaye thrilled audiences with a nostalgic ‘Old School vs New School’ showdown. DJ Lord OTB claimed the title of DJ of the Year, and DJ Mish was honored as Female DJ of the Year.
