Emirates is celebrating twenty years of presence in Ghana.
Using an A330-200, it made its first flight to Kotoka International Airport in January 2004.
Emirates began offering non-stop flights between Accra and Dubai on a weekly basis in 2004. Currently, the route is operated daily.
With its vast network, Emirates has facilitated travel for both business and leisure travellers, carrying over two million people between Accra and Dubai in the last 20 years. In the same time frame, the airline has flown nearly 13,000 round-trip flights and travelled 80.71 million kilometres.
The airline demonstrated its dedication in 2018 by operating a unique A380 trip to coincide with the opening of Ghana’s Terminal 3.
