The much awaited Ghana Food Festival (GFF) 2023 will be held on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, 2023. It is a vibrant carnival that brings together foodies, creatives, and fans of live entertainment.
The celebration will take place from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Atlantic Mall, Atomic Junction Roundabout, North Legon, close to the University of Ghana.
This event is being organized by Pen it Multimedia Limited, an Accra-based digital media and events management business, with assistance from the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), the Beyond the Return (BTR) secretariat, Fidelity Bank Ghana, and the Atlantic Mall.
The GFF seeks to strengthen economic ties and investments from the diaspora in Ghana and around the continent. It is a component of the “December in GH” program calendar, which was started by the BTR to promote tourism in Ghana and Africa. The festival will include continental foods as well as a wide variety of regional cuisines from across the nation.
The GFF 2023 celebrates Ghana’s tourism, art, and culture while also giving companies in the food and non-food production chain a chance to network, collaborate, trade, and display their goods.
The event is intended to support the government’s initiatives to increase tourism in the nation, according to Emmanuel Forson, the founder and CEO of Pen pen Multimedia Limited. He underlined that the event seeks to offer a means of drawing tourists from around the world and that food tourism is a potential draw for foreigners.
In order to add to the festival’s diversity, both foreign food and non-food merchants will be able to display their goods there.
A variety of regional dishes, such as fufu, tuo-zaafi, akple, banku, tubani, Ghana Jollof, waakye, kenkey, beans (red red), omotuo, ampesi, and fried yam, will be available at the GFF. There will also be Ghanaian delicacies and drinks for sale, including pito, asaana, hausa koko, tom brown, roasted corn, and plantain.
The event is free to enter and will include entertainment for all ages, including a kid’s gaming area, a bouncy castle, an eating competition, and other enjoyable outdoor games.
